# Set up your first property

> Go from a new account to a property with units, ready to take reservations, in a few minutes.

This walkthrough takes you from a brand-new account to a working property you
can start taking reservations on.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create your account">
    Open the app and tap **Sign up**. Enter your display name, email, and a
    password (at least 8 characters), or continue with Google or Apple. After
    signing up, confirm your email from the link we send you.

    Full details: [Create your account](/account/create-your-account).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your display name">
    The first time you sign in, the **Complete your profile** screen asks for a
    display name. This is the name your colleagues and guests see. Enter it and
    tap **Continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a property">
    With no properties yet, the app sends you to the create-a-property screen.
    Enter the **Property name** and start typing the **Address** — choose it from
    the suggestions so the location details fill in automatically. Tap
    **Continue**.

    Superhost then opens a short guided setup for your new property, which the
    next two steps walk through. It's optional — tap **Skip setup** at any point
    to go straight to the app.

    More options: [Create a property](/properties/create-a-property) or
    [Join a property](/properties/join-a-property) if a teammate invited you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your units">
    A unit is a rentable space — a room, apartment, or villa — and you need at
    least one before reservations can appear on your calendar.

    On the setup's **Units** step, enter a **Unit name** such as `Room 101`,
    pick a **Type**, set **Max guests**, and tap **Add unit**. Repeat for each
    space you rent.

    You can also add units at any time from the property's **Units** settings,
    where you can set short codes, occupancy limits, and amenities too.

    Step by step: [Manage units](/properties/manage-units).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invite your team (optional)">
    On the **Team** step, enter a teammate's **Email**, choose their **Role**,
    and tap **Send invitation** — they get a one-time link to set up their
    account. Skip it if you run the property alone; you can invite people later
    from the property's **Members** settings.

    The final **Review** step lists what's done and what's still missing. Tap
    **Finish setup** to finish, or **Finish anyway** to leave the rest for the
    settings pages.

    More: [Set up your property](/properties/set-up-your-property) and
    [Invite team members](/team/invite-team-members).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Bring in your reservations">
    Reservations arrive automatically from your connected booking channels. Once
    you link Booking.com or Airbnb, their bookings appear on the
    **Calendar** as bars on each unit's row. Tap a booking to see its guests,
    stay details, and linked tasks.

    Then [view a reservation](/reservations/view-a-reservation).
  </Step>
</Steps>
