Before you start
- You need a WhatsApp Business account (a Meta business) and a phone number you can use for WhatsApp. The number must not already be in use on a personal WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app.
- The connection is set up through Meta’s official sign-up flow, which opens in your device browser. Have your Meta login handy.
Connect a number
Open Integrations
From the property’s Settings, tap Integrations. The WhatsApp
card sits under Messaging and shows its current status.
Start the connection
Tap Connect WhatsApp. Superhost opens Meta’s sign-up flow in your
device browser.
Sign up with Meta
In the browser, sign in to Meta and follow the steps to choose your
WhatsApp Business account and the number you want to use. This part runs on
Meta’s pages, not in Superhost.
Return to the app
When you finish, you come back to the app. Superhost checks the result and
confirms with WhatsApp connected. The card then shows an active
status and the Connected number. If the setup wasn’t completed, you’ll see a message asking you to tap
Connect to try again — nothing is linked until Meta reports the number
as active.
The sign-up runs in your device browser because Meta’s flow can’t run inside
the app. If you close the browser or cancel partway through, no number is
linked — just tap Connect WhatsApp again to restart.
What “connected” looks like
When a number is linked, the WhatsApp card shows:- An active status badge.
- The Connected number in international format.
- A Manage on WhatsApp Business link that opens Meta’s WhatsApp Manager, where the display name, profile photo, and quality rating live.
Where guest messages go
Once WhatsApp is connected, messages guests send to that number arrive in the Chats tab as guest conversations, so you can reply from the same place as the rest of your guest messaging.Guest conversations
See and reply to guest WhatsApp messages in the Chats tab.
Connect a phone number
Add a number for calls and SMS on this property.
Reconnecting or fixing a connection
If the number ever needs re-linking, the card’s button changes:- Reconnect repeats the sign-up flow for an already-linked number.
- Retry connection appears if the last attempt ended in an error. The card also shows the reason under Last attempt failed.
